Calvin Kaleel is a New York-based upright bass, electric bass, tuba, and sousaphone player. He has held chairs for the national tours of Naruto: Live in Concert, Avatar the Last Airbender: Live in Concert, Annie the Musical, and A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on bass (and as Pigpen). 

When in the city, Calvin plays a wide variety of music ranging from jazz to pop to bluegrass. Calvin helps organize and play for Queer Jazz Collective jam sessions at Henrietta's, and recently played at Porch Stomp on Governor's Island.  He is delighted to play whatever music comes his way.
